Established in April 2016, The Hostelry is the newest hub for backpackers and budget travelers in the City of Smiles. The hostel has 32 rooms to accommodate guests, 14 of which are private rooms, the other 14 are bunk beds, and the remaining four are single shared rooms that range from PHP 350 to PHP 999/bed/night.
The hostel is surrounded with vibrant murals painted by a local artist to keep the vibe in it hip and chic. The limelight of the art goes to the peacock mural that welcomes every guest at the main entrance of the hostel, facing their in-house restaurant, Roli’s Cafe.
Next to it is their in-house Roli Cafe that’s been serving hearty meals from breakfast to dinner since 1940. They have a wide selection of gustatory comfort food like chicken sandwich, bihon Malabon, the famous napoleones delicacy, cakes, and a lot more.
When I stayed there last November, I had a seamless transaction with the staff. Everyone was eager to answer my pre-arrival questions, and more so when I got there. They helped me get through the city and provincial commuting, fares, and whereabouts in and out of Bacolod.
The Hostelry and Residences at Roli’s is located at Roli’s Arcade, La Salle Avenue, Bacolod City. For inquiries and reservations, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thehostelry.
